Issue with Anisotropic Shading in Cycles

Hi all,

I am pretty new to Blender, please excuse me if there is an answer to this already or if it’s a known issue.

I’m using 2.65 and I’m trying to get the anisotropic shader to work correctly in cycles. When I have the shader applied (Roughness 0.5, Anisotropy 0.95) it just looks like a diffuse shader. Once I add a tangent node with a UVmap, the whole material goes pitch black. I have an hdr image as the world enviro texture. I’ve tried a couple different ones in an attempt to isolate the problem.

I followed Andrew Price’s tutorial on Blender Guru step by step and I get the same results. Not sure if its from my hardware or if there is something going on in Blender.

Attached is an image w screen shots of whats going on.

I’m trying to do this for an animation for my job. Any help anyone can provide would be super. Thanks!
