Issue with curve modifier

So I’m trying to curve this spiral onto another spiral using a curve modifier but I cant seem to get it to work any ideas?

Here is an example, have you checked origin and deformation axis?

Hmm yeah the axis doesn’t fix it and I’m unsure where to have the origin

Apply scale will fix it.
