So, I want to create fluffy animal by using particle system. I’ve applied hair particle system to the head of my animal and, then I started to change hair settings. But by changing the settings nothing appears. For example, I set the kink type from “nothing” (1st image) to “curl” (2nd image). But as you can see, model is still without changes. Please, help me.
Looks like you don’t have any child hairs present. Kink settings will only affect child hairs, and not parent.
I understand what are you talking about, but I’ve already set children type from ‘none’ to ‘interpolated’. Can you advise me different solution?
Your screenshots show that you’re in rendered view. I assume it’s the same story in solid shading?
Yeah, in the solid shading there is the same story. Maybe I should upload a file so you can see what the problem is.

I have tried everything and had no luck so i have add all the objects to a new collection and saved it then appended it to a new file and it works.
So something in that file or addons or a bug?

Thank you very much! I think I understand what are you talking about. I updated my blender recently and bring the defaults to a new version of programm. Something went wrong, and my another file was writen as a start up file. I delete all objects and collections and rewrited it as a start up file, but perhaps, some features or bugs didn’t leave from that file. Could you advise me something, how can return my start up file to factory appearance.
