I am using Blender on Pop!_OS and have encountered a problem that I’m not sure how to resolve. Whenever I open Blender, after an indefinite amount of time, my external monitor (connected via HDMI) freezes. I then have to go into the display settings and reconfigure the monitor layout to get the external monitor working again.
I’m not sure whether this issue is caused by Blender or Pop!_OS. So far, I haven’t submitted a bug report because I haven’t been able to determine the source of the problem yet.
Has anyone experienced similar issues under Linux, specifically with Blender and external monitors? If so, does anyone know a potential fix or have any ideas on how to resolve this?
I used a laptop with an additional external monitor to extend my worspace (so no cloning) under linux (ubuntu and later debian) for some time and have never had an issue.
Also i do not think that this is a blender issue because then also another window should freeze (for example the rendered image). Sometimes i did and do use more than the main window on one or two displays and never had a problem of “partly freezing”.
