So, I decided one day “Why not make a platforming game in the blender game engine in my free time?” So, I started one. There were a few problems along the way, but there’s still alot of work to be done. I’m trying to keep it all in one .blend file, just for ease of use. I’m using absolutely no python code, just logic bricks, and I think it’s turned out pretty well so far. The first level is there, but it has nothing in it yet. There’s no enemies to fight yet, no goals, nothing. Just a platform of grass and dirt. I added the function of when you fall, you land on a plane, which respawns you, so, I guess that’s cool. Anyways, here’s the .blend file. I would suggest going to the render menu and choosing the standalone player, because I’m using GLSL.
pre-alpha 1.1.blend (1.42 MB)
So, just leave your comments down in that handy box down there. Also, I don’t have a character model yet, so if anybody would like to contribute, you can leave it down there if you want.
Thanks! Zachary Volt
