Its My Spider Friend

Its My Spider Friend He is kind and Gentle and doesn’t just leave when you need him most. Just watch where you step.

Here is My Pool Table I Modeled.

You can comment if you would like. Like or not.

I think both models have good form that accurately define the objects they represent, that is certainly a good start. The texture on the pool table is too course in my opinion I think a much finer and subtle noise texture might work however I would probably opt for a photographic ‘felt texture’. I would also make the spiders eyes rounder and their specularity harder perhaps even a reflection map on them spiders eyes are their best feature  (http://insidiousclothing.com/lolspiders/category/spider-eyes/)

it would be nice to see some work on the lighting in these images try some 101 tutorials on photographic lighting and some specific blender lighting tutorials these will improve your images massively I think.

I agree with the Course Texture I have found a picture for it. The eyes I may keep the shape for a slightly artistic look Yet for the Specularity I will look at the Reflection Map idea. I looked at the images I agree the eyes definitly need something to make them more like those in the Reflective type ay. I Laugh because there was no work on the lighting. It was just basic lights. I actually haven’t done or seen much on lighting techniques. If you know of any tutorials please share. Other wise I will google and see what I can find. So Thanks for the reply.

P.S. I take it a Environment map will work well for the Reflection map.

Thanks for the comment and help on the Reflection Map. It works but In those photos the eye reflects all the stuff but it still has the tint of the spiders eyes. I need to get that in mine. I want to keep that green like tint but add that Reflective Map. I found one written tutorial on Realistic lighting and its only part way done. They never finished the rest. So if anyone knows of any please share. Though for the Spider eyes the Background you see is a Image done with the Node editor. Will have to work on how to get the reflection from that.

Updated still looks like more work is to be done
