J.A.C.K., Linux Mint and Blender Sequencer

Second post for today, hehe

I’m trying to setup an audio/video/animation studio based on Linux Mint (since most other Linux distros - especially ubuntu studio and other multimedia-specific ones - had many bugs and inconveniences and I don’t have a normal internet connection available to have it help me out)…so…

I noticed that there was no sound in Blender when JACK is running. Is it possible to make it so?
Also, even when Jack is not running, the first time I loaded a .wav sound it began to play and I heard the sound but in 2 seconds the computer crashed completely. I reset the PC and tried it again and this time the pc crashed just when I placed the audio clip in the sequencer. How do I troubleshoot this?
