Jagged normal map problem?

Hi, I’m about a month into learning to use blender and i can create 3d models at a basic level, I created a sci fi pistol with a low poly version and a High poly version and I’m wanting to bake a normal map for the lowpoly model from the high poly,

I followed several tutorials however the result Isn’t what i expected,
In my baked normals I get
.Weird lines running all over faces
.Jagged or pixelated edges
this has also happened to a lot of my models, And I don’t know what I’m missing here?
