Hi guys. This is my first model of the car (LOW SAMPLES SO FAR SO WAITING TILL YOU ALLOW ME TO RENDER THIS IN HIGHER SAMPLES AND POST IT AS FINAL PRODUCT). It was long whole month of hard work for me. I also think that i finally coped with tricky compositing of the shadows and reflections. I am using as a backgroud - nice image but for the reflections i am using HDRi which kind of match the images. I was searching through whole internet to pick up more or less precise HDRi so they look similar to the image. I had a lot of problems with compositing especially with different antialising and transparensy artefacts but i think now its looks good.
Hey, I know how much work this kind of thing is, so Kudos for putting in the work, the model looks great. The only thing that throws me off a little is the angle of the front grill, which seems to be too steep (too vertical), and the trunk which seems too be too large in the vertical direction. That’s just my initial reaction and it was confirmed by looking at a few reference images.
On the lighting front, I think the dominant issue in all of your images seems to be that the lighting on the car is consistently darker than the lighting in the backplate. Bringing up the brightness of the car might help there. You are also choosing a few backplates that have a light source facing the camera, which is notoriously the most difficult type of lighting to work with, since your subject is typically always going to be underexposed in those cases.
Great work though, keep at it, it’s definitely coming along!
I’ve got a WIP thread for my e-type Jag which you might be interested in, although it’s nowhere near as complete as yours. That’s my shameless self-promotion bit for the day…
Guys. Thanks but your comments came too late. My work is already in finish projects thread so please go there and comment it if you want. But thanks for suggestions and constructive criticizm
