Butler was the hero for the Heat in Game 3 as he became the third player in NBA history to record a 40-point triple-double in an NBA Finals game, joining LeBron James (Game 5, 2015) and Jerry West (Game 7,1969).
Jimmy Butler led the way in Game 3 with his first playoff career triple-double to give the undermanned Heat a 115-104 win.
The Miami Heat are back in the series after securing a 115-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3, thanks to a monster performance from Jimmy Butler.
Butler poured in his first career playoff triple-double with 40 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds on 14-of-20 shooting from the field and 12-of-14 at the free-throw line to make the series 2-1.
Los Angeles Lakers is still on the lead. (2-1) and (1-2) for the Miami Heat.
Huge Heat fan here since the Alonzo Mourning days, so don’t take this the wrong way:
Don’t make a headline like that, please, it’s a spoiler!
I can’t see the games live, and after coming home from work it’s been a full 24 hours since the game has been played. By now I’ve seen game 4, but this morning I got a glimpse of this topic title, just seeing Jimmy Buckets and dominating, not catching the rest, it was enough to put thoughts in my head. I know it sounds like I’m overreacting but I’ve already been spoiled by YouTube thumbnails during the playoffs, so I asked to not get any basketball recommendations in my feed since game 4 of the Celtics v Heat series. The last place I expect to get NBA spoilers is on this forum, so in general, please think about this when writing a topic title.
