Jinx & Powder | Arcane (League of Legends)

Impressed by the Arcane series, I decided to portray Jinx with Powder in a my version.
Inspired by “Imagine Dragons x J.I.D - Enemy” | art by NIXEU | and, of course Arcane series
Made with Zbrush, Blender and Photoshop
Hope you like it!

You’re correct, they’re the same person at different ages, but if you watch the music video, there’s a shot that has Jinx and Powder together in the same frame - it’s symbolic. This is that same idea, but based on a specific moment in the show (which I’ll avoid explaining because of possible spoilers).

Ya, sorry I didn’t watch all the series at the time I made the comment.
That show is an emotional rollercoaster. :laughing: :cry: :+1:

First, impressive work.

Can I ask some questions, I started watching the show and like the animation style, the mostly anatomically correct models with that painted art style is a nice mix of anime with CGI. I don’t know how it was made, but since you made this much this seems an appropriate place to ask?

In the context of if you were to recreate some of that;
Did you sculpt / create meshes for the hair? Would you make a ‘skeleton’ for the hair? Tie it to the ‘hair’ or physics? Or how would you approach the hair animation?

Similarly with the clothes, did you sculpt or otherwise make a mesh of the clothes? Would you use the physics simulation for the cloth or use a different approach?

Anyway, thanks for any tips/advice, once again, this looks amazing.

Fking amazing

Not OP, but Lightning Boy Studio has a pretty nifty breakdown of how to get the Arcane texturing/shading look in Blender, and it gets into some technical analysis of how some of the texturing was (likely) approached. The first video goes over some hair specific stuff.
