Hmmz, do any of you have an idea where I might post asking for an internship as follows:
“Hello? anybody interested in taking me on as an intern in about a month, for a six month period, while I work on my Torque, blender, unrealEd, flash skills tailored to your needs on month in preparation? I’m cheap, work hard, and have excellent communication skills in french, dutch, english and german (although my german is a little rusty)

my government is the place to go for internships for me, you will want to go to your community information center (might be at your town hall or library) they will tell you where to go for the information.
you will then need to fill out a number of forms, and may need to contact companies to take you on.
its a long process, and not easy (if you are serious about a real internship)
otherwise i would go door knocking on companies doors, you would be suprised as to how much response you will get.
I would agree with that. I found a firm that did some 3D graphics stuff when I was out for the day in Edinburgh and when I got home, I looked up the site and asked them if they had any jobs. They asked me for an interview the next day.
The interview went well but they didn’t call back ('cos I’m not good enough probably). But they said that they didn’t advertise vacancies so I would never have been able to apply for them via agencies or whatever. Direct is the best approach and it’s usually the way I get the nicest replies and the most help. Agency workers are f*ckwits.
