Jpeg to mesh

Is there a tutorial for 2.8 how to convert an image to a mesh that you can extrude. Or how complicated is it?

If it’s a kind of “logo” type image than convert it as jpg->svg->import SVG (in Blender)->mesh convert from curves (Alt+C in Blender). JPG to SVG services are widely available online

Or use Inkscape to vectorize an Image and export as SVG.

I used this. I converted the JPEG logo to vector in Illustrator and then saved is as the curves to SVG so I can open it in blender
