Was bored and ran across a contest, however I never did enter for various reasons, but I thought I share this. From start to finish was only 3 hours, this includes modeling, applying textures, and rendering.

Blender 2.63, Cycles, 100 passes

Took me about 2 weeks to get everything done on this scene. I am not 100% happy with it. But I consider it a finish piece.

Blender 2.63, Cycles and Internal Render composted together, 1000 passes
