a little test,
modelisation : 15mn
render : 2h30
Can you please render it with blender raytracing?
Ummmm… Hello? Hello? Hello? Anyone there? BLENDER CAN RAYTRACE NOW!!!
HELLO, that doesn’t mean people cannot use yafray anymore if they want to.
Martin
And HELLO, Blender can’t do photon mapping, path tracing or any of the GI stuff that’s in yafray. The raytracing in Blender is not desgned to compete with yafray, but complement it. Different tools for different jobs.
okok
im sorry. It’s a cool image! A screw is a great idea, has a ood assortment of faces a different angles, and even some smooth edges. BTW, anyone know ifYafray integration is being worked on? just curious.
Those are very nice looking.
After having played with the screw function a lot, I’m still having difficulty getting anything ‘realistic’ like that. Can you post the ‘profile’ that you used to create those screws? Like what mesh did you use the Screw button on?
Look at this …
New Update …
Looks very nice
Lookin guurd. Although the nuts on the most recent render could do with a bit of beveling to get rid of the sharp edges and also becuase nuts are like that
awesome, thank you.
THe new render looks great!
Cool image(s) but > 2h looks too much… did you use some strange setting?
Stefano
I didn’t ask for a blender render because blender’s new raytracer could replace yafray, just to compare the results.
funny, the red screw look plain…
