it has been about a year since i have visited this forum and have missed it allot but i just lost the time to come here, but now with newly found free time and a job where i am on the computer all the time i thought that this would be the perfect time to get some refreshers. with the new blender 2.6 i cannot find out how to change the uv properties yet, like adding light response and shadows (on the object not real time shadows) like you could do in 2.5 i also really need a refresher on logic bricks does any one know the best place to relearn all this because i am having a problem with getting a seprate platform to react when i touch an object. no one has to help i am sure i will figure it out eventually the fustrating part is i used to know all this stuff so it sucks starting back at square one.
Welcome back!
UV editing has changed a lot in 2.46, you should find most info in the uv editing page of the release notes. Be sure to also check out what else has changed and improved in 2.46, which is quite a lot.
I am having the same challenges. I dont seem to be able to zoom in close enough to objects now in edit/uv mode.
Perhaps check the tutorials section regarding the logic bricks?
Sanne, that page doesn’t say anything about the location of the old buttons (Light, Twoside, Halo, Collision, Invisible, etc…) where are they???
they’re in edit mode now, there’s no longer a face select mode (you can either use ctrl-f in edit mode, or there’s a face mode panel with more options. ctrl-c to copy settings from the main face to all the rest of the selected ones)
TheSambassador,
you’re right, it’s not obvious from that page. It’s in editmode: Ctrl+F -> Face mode set/Face mode clear, and Texture Face panel in edit buttons, which appears when a mesh has uv coordinates.
oh, my word. more hidden menus to memorize… arggg
Here are some detailed instructions: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showpost.php?p=1135897&postcount=4
and they took out copy draw mode, now you have to press ctrl+C
well this seems to be helping alot more people than me wich is deff a good thing. its just something else to get used to i guess but im sure i can figure it out i just dont understand why they took out the uv mode why not just leave it in and add the ctrl+f option that way there would be some transtion. but i guess thats what you get wit a major release such as this. (and i would love to see the logic brick tut if your willing to post a link in here if not i understand its been posted a few hundred times most likely so i will search for it if it doesnt show up here)
