Just updated from 2.61 -> 2.66 - Subdivide no longer breaks a face?

Soo, on my computer I’d been using Blender 2.61 - but I wanted to work at a project while I was at a friends place, and found there had been several updates. Anyways, got new version, and I found that when I used Subdivide on an edge (with a face on either side of it), it only split the edge with a point, without splitting the face as well - Which is quite frustrating when I then have to re-make the face into two triangles. Now, I’m sure that there’s probably a way to manually split a face (If so, It’d be great to know!) but I’d like to know if there’s a way to change this back to the way it was.

Also, 2.66 seems perfectly fine with making non-triangular poly’s - Which, while nice for surfaces I plan on leaving perfectly flat, I am not a fan of warped and twisted surfaces - Or one’s that may soon become warped and twisted as I edit them. Any way to change that back to how it was, as well, so it defaults to making triangles when it can?

Look in toolshelf when used subdivide and enable the Quad/Tri mode. If you want this as default just set a shortcut and enable that option in the User Preferences/Input panel for that shortcut.

If you want planar faces you can triangulate from the Ctrl+F manu, it will do that anyway when you render.

Ah, thanks  Both worked perfect.
