Kami - Turn an Everyday Item into a Spaceship
My piece of work based on the concept from Eric Geusz, @spacegooose: transforming an everyday item into a spaceship : )
The item that inspired me for my work is … my wife’s hair iron ! You can see a picture of it on the following image. Did you guess it before checking the reference?
As a science-fiction enthusiast I had a lot of fun doing the challenge and I am quite pleased with the final result as well.
Small pun on the name of the ship, “KAMI”, is a reference to the common trope in SF where ships are named after mythology: it means both “god” (神) and “hair” (髪) in Japanese, quite fitting for a spaceship made out of a hair iron
