A katana with stand and sheath. Modelled in Blender, rendered in LuxRender. This is my first serious project in 3D art.

Spent a long time on the blade to get it right, the rest took much less time.

I have big plans for this project (custom patterns on the sheath, hamon temper patterns on the blade). I am also not happy with the composition. Please give me your feedback and criticism so I can post a more polished piece in the future.

Try a camera from a standing view, to the right or left. The blade is reflecting to much floor. I like the floor texture you chose. Joe1.
