I’m using Blender 2.73 and I’ve been wanting to update to 2.75, however I want to keep my old preferences and addons that I have now and IF possible; is there a way I can backup or restore my setup for future versions of Blender? Because at the moment I really don’t feel like manually installing all of my addons and to me it seems like there would be an option like this somewhere.
When you run the new version number of blender just copy your previous settings from the option on the splashscreen
The config files of your old blender versions are still kept and you could also just make a backup copy of config files / addons etc
