Earlier post with more details:
In Modo, it’s possible to run Loop Slices presets in one click:
[slice_presets]
You select an edge, pick a preset like 5-90-5, and it slices the edge ring accordingly. Is this possible in Blender? Already exists? Modo’s macro recording also allows the user to create these presets.
For something like 5-90-5 I’ve tried: create a centered Loop Cut, Bevel cut into 2 segments out near the edge, and then run another centered Loop Cut… But one click would be a lot faster and consistent.
