Key framing an F curve modifier

Hello Everyone,

I am on Ubuntu 10.04 32 bit. When I add an f curve to animate the camera, then add a modifier to the curve in an effort to get some camera shake, I notice that the shake is applied to the entire curve.

So, I try to animate the scale of the modifier over time as well - however, when I hold the mouse over the “Scaling (in time) of the Noise” and press the i key, I get a f curve for scaling the camera itself, rather than the noise. I made sure the camer was not selected when I did this.

Is this to be expected? I am looking for a way to add shake to the camera over a certain number of frames. I thought by conrtoling the amount of noise, I could accomplish this, but it doesn’t seem to work.

I have also tested this with the latest build from graphicall, and it acts the same.

What do you think? Bug? Do you know if this has already been discussed elsewhere?

Thanks
