Keyboard locked

Yes, I just got a free 486, bought it a hard drive and I’m trying to get it to work. Error. The keyboard is locked. Well, there are two wires (black and red) coming from the kbLock hard_and_strange_english_word_perhaps_sines_or_smth? and they look exactly like they would fit a molex connector. Then again, I’m pretty sure that connecting those to some place they’re not supposed to be connected would fry the motherboard. I’ve heard stories of a mysterious key held by the gods that could lock and unlock any keyboards in time. cough But there’s no sign on the another_spooky_english_word_?outer shell? of any key-doohickey.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

just curious, what are you typing on?

[maybe it’s those keyboard gods at work again…]

I’m trying to get a 486 to boot, but I work on an Athlon1700+

There’s some combination of keys you have to press to unlock it. You might look it up on google or something, but i know you can unlock it.
