Keyed particles rendering on the emitter keys?

I’ve got a keyed particle systems that seems to be working fine, particles go through the keyed emitters as expected. The emitters themselves are not being rendered, that’s good that’s what I wanted as I have “render emitter” turned off.

However there seem to be stray particles that render on the emitters themselves in addition to the dupli group ones I want?

ok solved this, I picking a random object out of the group that included the dull particles.
