keyframe and pose position inaccuracies

so i’ve created a custom humanoid rig for myself, and animated a walk cycle that seemed to work fine.

then when working on the run cycle, the animation isnt in the correct pose until after the assigned keyframe.

i have the first step


then i have the pose keyframed at the 13th frame, but it looks as though it hasnt reached the pose yet


and i continued to go to the frame where it finally has the pose that i keyframed, which happens to be at the 52nd frame


i didnt have this issue with the walk animation, but for some reason it is constantly plaguing the run cycle. any ideas how to fix this issue?
