I wrote and illustrated a kid’s story for a video, using 3D combined with a little of Grease Pencil, inspired by the great tutorials of artist Lukasz Rusinek.
These are all the illustrations I created (notice this gif image uses an indexed color palette, which could have caused color banding).
It was also a great opportunity to try different rigs from Rigify addon, including adding samples to expand the predefined rigs.
For example, I added a spline.tentacles to a human rig, in order to make the butterfly’s wings controls. Also combined a limb.simple_tentacle plus limbs.super_limb to make the caterpillar’s rig.
