I’m looking into buying a Microsoft Kinect to use with Blender for animation and other things. I have a question though:
is it a good deal to buy it or not? Are the plugins for Blender good? I just want some feedback from other Blender users who bought one for their animation. Were you satisfied?

What plugins?
It’s a tool, and you’ll probably have to write your own stuff for it. I’ve been satisfied with it, yes, but I’m limited by my own coding incompetence rather than the equipment, which works as expected… Does that help?
I saw some plugins for bleder allowing you to animate with the Kinect…
I was wondering if anyone knows if they work well or not and if it’s worth the money to buy a Kinect to use with Blender. If the plugins don’t work well, I do’nt want to buy one…
wait. there will be a new xbox and new kinnect released at the end of the year. the new one will be much more sensative, and the current ones price will probably drop drastically.
I can already get it for a good price. And I’m not going to wait, because I want to use it this year for a movie project I’m going to do. I was just wondering if it works well on Blender… Maybe from someone who has tried it…
