That’s some good stuff. I think you got the mix of medieval and futuristic just right. Her hair could probably use a bit more detail as it looks kind of flat, but I imagine that will be taken care of with the texturing. Also, kudos to you for giving a female warrior some decent armour and not have her prancing about in a leather bikini.
Added a weapon, remodeled the shoes to give them more details and better look
Modified the body/leg proportions (lenghtened the legs, shortened the torso)
I also started texturing the torso using this tutorial
aws357 this is fantastic work I also had a look at the other WIP as well. I’m hoping to do a little work on figures and rigging once I complete my current project. Have a tendency to start projects and not finish them. Could you post a screen grab of her in wire frame? I really love the detail you have put into the suit. Love to see more pics.
I thought the proportions were good the first time, now her body looks too short and her legs a bit too long. I don’t know if this is just distortion from the camera or not, though.
An fantastic start if I do say so myself. Looks just like the reference as far as modeling goes. However the proportions look really odd in both versions. It’s hard to put my finger on it, but one thing is that her fingers should be able to reach further down her leg. Right now her nails are about even with her pubis. That’s just too short to look normal.
Can’t wait to see how it looks once textured and with a good light set up!
Update :
Finished the texture for the armor. Looks grittier that way
Reworked the topology of the face (doesn’t look much but it’s much better with expression…)
She looks like she had a bad mascara day. And the fact is, I am still searching references to do nice eyelashes :)… It’s not much documented, but eyelashes contribute notably to the expressiveness of a female character. It gives intensity, erotism and… * pour iced water on head *
Well… still a lot to work… and now… off to work #whimper#
