Nice. Reminds me a bit of Rodin’s Gates of Hell.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
Very strange composition
Nice work!
It is like classic paintings depicting hell. I can see other interpretations or meanings that a viewer could find too. I like art that encourages the viewer to use his own imagination.
There is more than one character who is being restrained or attacked. Interesting.
This reminds me of a scene from a movie called Brainstorm. Scientists create device that can record a person’s sensory input and replay it for someone else.
Spoiler Alert …
A researcher has a medical problem while alone in the lab and is dying. She decides to record her final moments. This recording has supernatural properties that, once the pain is filtered out, allow a viewer to “see beyond the veil”. Characters get the recording and experience her journey after death. As her soul departs Earth she sees a ball of writhing naked people sort of in orbit. They are the souls lured astray by the pleasures of this world. She is drawn farther to the gateway to Heaven where she and many other souls “go into the light”.
Edit: Hmm, reviewed video and my memory of that was not correct. It was not an orgy in sky but was hell.
Wahou !!! I’m very impressed !
This looks interesting, and lighting is catchy, but those dark edges at every geometry intersection just hurt my eyes. i know it’s cycles issue and is very hard to fix in shading. Just hope devs will fix it someday.
some of them are cause by a AO layer i put above it, because the models are hollow and the eyebrows not i had some issues with the subsurface scattering. In the end i use the Christensen-Burley Method to avoid the eyebrows to completely break out of the scene, only problem was that the shape and shadows kinda vanished so i tried to push that back with the AO.
the ooriginal idea is based on a nightmare i had, always been terrified by the thought of being trempled or squished so tight you are not able to move. Based on that i changed that concept to this scene
Nice work, what you mean with procedural generation?
On the basemesh I created a couple of shape keys for certain deformations (nose length, angle…) Thise were linked to a driver that created a random value based on a seed that was attached to the mesh so i just had to change the seed and the human changed in its apearance
