Hya there. I have a .blend file, and I need to know which version it was made with. Any way to do that? I searched but found nothing… thx!
You could open the file in a hex editor. The beginning of the file should show something like BLENDER_v249.
Alternatively, if you ever open a Blender 2.5 file with Blender 2.49, you got a message looking like “ You have opened a 250 file, key animation will get lost, like animation data. Continue ? ”
Never though about using a hex editor, thx a lot!
@Hibou57 - I’m trying to open pre 2.5 files, thx anyway for the tip=)
