I don’t see the A.N.T. landscape add-on available in 2.8. (Add>Mesh>Landscape). Will it come with Blender when the official 2.8 is released, or maybe it can be installed from a file. I don’t know where to find that file though. I can create a landscape using texture nodes, etc. but that add-on was handy.
I don’t see it there to BE activated though. It doesn’t show up in the add-ons in preferences, even when I did a search. Are you using 2.80? I don’t know where to find the file to do an “install from file”. In the online add-ons catalog, there are several A.N.T. landscape files, but I don’t know which one actually is the install file. Some say they are updates, port to 2.8 etc.
Shows up for me in current 2.80:
Make sure you have the right categories active in the Add-ons preferences (It’s in the Community category) and leave the type drop-down set to All and type “land” in the search box and it should come up as above.
Are you using an old version of 2.80 perhaps?
Well the splash screen is 2018 -12-07
Hash c1f6ecdfabf
Is that the latest beta?
The beta of 2.80 changes continuously with nightly builds available every day. Get an updated version at:
And I’d recommend doing this fairly often if you want to stay on the latest and greatest. If you’re doing professional work then it can be better to stick with a version you know, but you can have as many different ones installed as you like.
I did do an update yesterday, and I found the A.N.T. Landscape add-on was included. Thanks.
