Hi,
My name is Tony and iv been using blender for a long time now to long for me to remember, iv been using a computer and iv just put blender onto a laptop with better preference’s then my computer i worked on, but for some reason Blender takes up a 100% of my CPU usage and makes it run extremely slow and unusable, im just wondering if there was a certain blender that i would have to download or change on the blender interface that would make it run normal and faster like on my normal PC.
this is eather not enough ram or a poor graphics card (integrated espetily) or if its a old pc it may be the processor. as far as i know there aunt any builds witch use more/ less system resorses
I ran blender on many laptops already… Do you know that it still runs fine on an old amd K6 400Mhz with 256Mb memory? (with linux, of course, windows doesn’t even want to install there anymore of course add a couple of objects and it quickly gets so slow you cannot really work anymore… but it opens 50Mb files without the smallest trouble… Not many programs would do that i guess.
But normally on more recent notebooks, there shouldn’t be any difference… Even those with cheap onboard graphic chips should run blender “normally” (who has an ATI knows why i put quotes
If your laptop is old maybe it is overloaded by programs. If it is new, then I don’t know… If it was mine i would try installing other (older) builds from graphicall or blenderbuilds, and if nothing changes, i would reinstall a clean windows…
