Large ocean and collider effect?

I know I could do multiple meshes of the ocean plane one being less in resolution but, is there away to change the scale of the ocean mesh so it’s like a mile long so that way, your doing one mesh for a big scene and camera fly through? can’t you change the grid to be in miles?

also, I know with the fluid simulator the water is boxed in and I’m wondering just like the cloth simulation the collider, can you do that with fluid? That way you can have water not going through mesh say like a pier or a boat?
