Large pause during shaded view

I have a very fast CPU and GPU (with updated graphic drivers) … e6600 @ 3.2ghz and 8800GT w/ windows 7 newest beta drivers (a week old?).

Whenever I switch to shaded view, and attempt to rotate or pan the view, a get a LOONG (sometimes up to 15 seconds long before I can interact) ‘freeze’. Ideas?

I’m running 64bit.

The scene isn’t large at all … just a few different objects and a total of 24k polygons.

No one knows?

How about a hammer and some duct tape? I think knowone knows because it does not happen much. I bet if you ran the .blend file through another… lets say… a little bit older computer it would run O.K. Anyway running the file on another computer could tell you if its your computer or not…or give you more insight on what could be wrong. ah…keep your shirts on.

I like the breeze.

I’ll see what happens on a few different machines – it is odd behavior, sure. It almost sounds graphic driver related.

Ok,

Same thing is happening on my work computer… completely different specs since it’s a laptop.

My home computer –

e6600 @ 3.2GHZ
8800GT
6gigs
Windows 7 64bit

Work laptop
Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T8100 @ 2.1GHZ
Intel 965 GFX mobile
4gigs (yes I know I’m using a 32bit OS)
XP 32bit

This makes me assume that this is an inherent problem with Blender. The differences are too large to point the finger at this setup. What can I do to assist the devs in finding this problem? Can I cross post this thread in a different subforum?
