Original concept you got there. I would imagine the ‘cup’ thing would spin around on the string when you let go though. You could add another string, have two side by side. Also, depending on whether you’re going for the ‘fantasy’ or ‘techy’ look - you could make it look like a more modern compound bow, with the pulley systems and stuff.
