Late night doomsday prepping

Hi everyone, thought of finally starting a thread to share my very long ongoing project that actually started back in 2018 now that I look at the date of the first sketch. About 99.9% of the work on this was/is done in BLENDER, hence the website you are currently at. This is what everything started with:

simplistic :+1:

This was the last version of simplistic look that I was going for initially. I realized that it is starting to look too clean and scifi-starwars for my liking. I wanted something more aggressive and rugged. Something with a lot more human touch to it and “down to earth”. So I took a break a revisited the direction.

This rough sketch became the start of the final direction I decided to go for which you’ll see later. The overall idea and proportions didn’t change much, but the mood changed a lot.

After the previous sketch that I posted that dated to the end of 2018, there was a break. My daughter was born! And guess what, the next time I revisited this project was only in August 2021. Time flies when you busy. Anyway, here is a sketch after 2 years of “thinking”.
