Lattice / particles / smoke column?

I’m trying to build a column of smoke

what I have is an emitter ( a mesh circle) and a lattice

the lattice is the parent of the circle

I would like the lattice to control the rising smoke

but the smoke seems to go outside the lattice?? :frowning:

any suggestions?

Are you running 2.25? (2.26 seems to have problems with lattices)

is you emitter contained completely in your lattice?

using 2.26

yes it was within the lattice

thanks for the reply, I have abondoned the lattice and have got

most of what I wanted by adjusting the particle values
