Launch file & start script

Is it possible ot start the scripts in my Blender file when that file opens?

I see Python does this in unix with a !# .

You have to add a Script Link.

Go to the Script Buttons window (the one next to the Display Buttons), click NEW, type in the name of your script and change the event to OnLoad.

AFAIK, OnLoad doesn’t work for a script with a GUI.

I was playing with this and I find that this “onload” approach does indeed run the script but not it’s gui. Thing is…the GUI is what I am after. Might there be an alternative approach that would start my GUI’s when I open a file?

no

Try banging your monitor really hard and then screaming something profane. You could also try killing a neighbor in their sleep. These things always help me with my problems but don’t tell anyone.

Struck out on the first two, I’m waiting for my neighbor to nod off now…

I know the feeling…I don’t know how the real estate agents keep getting people to move in next door with all the stories about the mysterious night-time menace known only as “Desoto-111”. Right now I’m working on my mental powers to make them nod off…no luck yet.
