this project i’ve been working on for quite a while is really pissing me off, all of my rigging is fine except for the bloody pelvis, when i move the leg up towards the stomach the rigging manipulates the stomach and makes an ugly deformation and also stretches the rear as well, it’s really annoying because i’ve tried removing the rigging and replaced it so the auto rigging can recalculate but in doing that i stuffed up the feet which took a lot of time to do. is there some sort of rule in relation to topology that would help, or is there a certain place that the weights should fade off. i’m not good at weight painting at all so i’d love it if there was a solution that didn’t involve that, or if there isn’t a way out of it i’d love to know how to do it…HELP!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
Can’t see your underlying topology, but you need to redo the weight painting so that the influence tapers off lower. That bone has influence all the way into the abdomen. Don’t just rely on automatic weights; they’re just a starting point to save you a little time. You almost always will need to clean up those weights manually.
