So I have appended a character fully rigged into a few different scenes or few different blend files to be specific. 1 of the three is getting the rig fine without troubles, although two of them are having trouble locating the rig from the external blend file. The funny thing is in my scene, the rig is actually there and fully animated, only the mesh which has been assigned to the rig is not there.
This problem only arose after doing extensive animation in each scene, so I would hate to have to loose my animation progress and start over in order to get the rig located.
Can create a new scene append the character and copy and paste the animation keyframes into the scene? If I can do this and is the recommened way to fix it, could you provide a tut on doing this?
