That’s a nice and peacefull render. Life is better when we get the time to enjoy a calm moment once in a while.
A few crits though.
*I’m not sure the canvas style effect as the blackandwhite effect add a lot to the image. Well, if you want it to give an effect of a lost time and old moments then the old picture style fits
*The tree in the background is great but I trying to figure what the big boxy wall above the roof it
*The windows above the door are way too close to the end of the roof. in my opinion. The door is also a bit odd
*The ground and wall texture are really well done as are the roof tiles
I’m wondering what the unpostproceded render looks like though
Slep
Ya I like it. but like Slepnyrl said, what is that box shaped wall above the roof??
Perhaps a chimney?
Nice render!
The box over the roof is just a “other structure” to get a bit more feeling of depth in the image. I rushed over it a bit in the end cause I was pritty tired of the scene. The old feeling is also ment to be.
Thanks for your crits
It’s an interesting idea. I really like the textures, but I’m having trouble with the composition, and scaling of the various elements. The image feels off ballance to me.
It feels like the piece is tipping to the right. I think its due to the fact that the door is off center and the camera is at a slight angle to the object. I think either having a 90 degree angle between the view and wall angles, or having a more extreme camera angle would help.
I am also struggling with the scale of the building. As it is right now, it feels miniture. I think it is mostly because of the ground texture. I think if you scaled the texture you have now way down it would help a lot. Also, I’m guessing that the building is 2 stories. If this is the case, I feel like the cieling tiles should be 2/3 to 1/3 the size that they are.
Anyrate, its probably to late for critiques since your tired of it. I just thought I’d share my 2 cents. I think it could really be a really cool piece with just those few small changes.
