light and shadow

my first scene… started this project to learn how to make particles appear through glass, how to set a lamp inside a glass object and caste shodows.

saw that big X shadow casted on the wall and couldn’t help myself

trying to model an old wall tent but haven’t figured out how to model cloth and texture it yet…

any pointers on how to make the flame and glass more realistic would much appreciated.

OS X hey? Nice and subtle. About the tent, you could probably try using some textures or apply an image texture of canvas, then apply a little gravity using the softbodies funtion. Be careful not use too much wieght and gravity… there are a few tutorials on the wiki site for these effects.

But I think you did a pretty good job, keep at it!
