Light Falloff Node - arbitrary exponent

Normally light would falloff with 1/distance^2

I understand that Cycle’s light falloff node allows us to choose between a falloff with intensity varying with:
constant, 1/distance, and 1/distance^2

But I would like light to falloff at a higher power, something like 1/distance^2.5

Is there any simply ways to do that? I tried adding a Math node (power) between the “Light Falloff” and “Emission” node but the results wasn’t quite what I had expected.

Instead of using the LightFalloff node, you can use the RayLength from the LightPath node with a math node to control the strength of your emission.
With this, you can even have lights with inverse falloffs or whatever you want.
