Light spill through sealed mesh

I am writing to ask about a lighting issue I recently encountered. Here is what occurred:

  1. I built a sealed mesh.
  2. I placed a light inside the mesh
  3. I made one face of the mesh the “colored glass” texture preset for YafRay.
  4. Light shone through the mesh in unexpected areas… through the non-glass sealed portion

I have included an image of the issue and circled the light spill on the ceiling. The light should be coming down… not going up. I guess I can use a spotlight instead just to force this issue to go away. But I’d like to understand why this happened.

Scratch that… nevermind. I simply needed to turn on “Ray Shadow” on the light setting and it worked fine after that. Sorry to bother the board.
