Lighthouse Cycles

Hello

I’m exploring the software by watching tutorials on youtube. I though it might be best to start with a fairly simple object to try what I’ve learned so far. I’ve tried to do it as realistic as possible. It’s still a very long way to be once able to build all the things I want to and I can imagine. I hope with blender it will be possible one day.

I ve used a reference image for the details of the tower and also for the camera. The textures and models are downloaded for free from a variety of websites. Some are painted directly in Blender. It’s all Blender 2.8x. For the final comp (flare, colorcorrection, BG) I’ve used Nuke.

After seeing the same building for ages, I can’t judge anymore if it looks o.k. I hope I’ll get some critics how to improve and to make it more real looking.

This looks pretty awesome! I very much like the evening light and the way the lighthouse light looks behind the glass.

Not sure if I can give you much of a critique, but you could maybe give the red wall of the tower a little bit more of a weathered look. But honestly, I wouldn’t change it too much - this is already very good!
