Has anyone ever rendered and gotten a shadow like this one?
If so, why does this happen? Its not version specific, I’ve rendered the same image in 2.23 and 2.26. It just really odd, especially when I place a new object in the same position and the shadow renders correctly.
I haven’t, but I guessed how you did it, and duplicated.
Your ClipStart of Spot Shadow is too low. Rise it so that it gets nearer to the rim.

I must say that was a lightning quick reply! You were dead on with your assesment. I did that and it worked. It was odd, because I’d seen that from time to time, but never knew why it happened.
