Lightmapping a scene with proxy objects


I read something about inserting objects from blender library, and then changing it to become a proxy object, now that knowledge had applied, i make proxy objects, and then rotating them and scaling them as i need them, but i need to make a lightmap from the newly composed scene.

How do i make a lightmap on those proxy objects?
can i convert a proxy object to become a ‘static’ scene object?
