Lightning/electricity bolts?

Hi

I was wanting to make some lightning electricty bolts for a machine I am doing, which maybe animated later on.
Its kinda like a mad scientist machine with the visable eletricity running up and down between two conductors?

I was thinking maybe halos? or is it something else?
I have’nt got the foggest of how to approch it or start on it?

so if you can help and point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

Like this? That’s just a white shadeless torus with composite nodes.

can you explian how to do the render
do you have to set the animation inf render panel ect…

interesting effect
i want ot play a little with it and change some color ect

sorry for the late reply.

@Azmisov - Wow thats cool! I would love to do something like that, but I am unfamiliar with nodes at
this point in time. Hopefully I will be able to to that one day!

@ Noobie - I think thats a great idea and will give me something to kick off with and then later try an improve my texturing skills later on and do more advanced stuff.
