I’m still in the phase of not doing any destructive modeling (just for learning).
I’m trying to do a smooth dent in the middle of a cube, with bevel modifier and selecting only specific vertices, but it also bevels the edges in a direction I don’t want to.
Is there a way to tell it which edges I do want?
I can achieve it with many vertex groups and duplicate the bevel modifier, but it’s ugly.
In the image, the bright one is beveled in a destructive manner and the dark with a modifier, you can see the difference. I’m trying to achieve the left one.
