Linking / library overriding a Rigified character - how do I get the bone select panel too?

I’m trying to link a rigged character, and use library overrides to be able to animate it, but I lose the ability to use the handy bone selct panel that Rigify creates. Is there any way round this?

Also, and I saw someone else ask this but not get a response - when using a library override, it doesn’t seem to matter which object in the collection I select, but it makes me wonder why it asks if it doesn’t matter?

make sure you have the rig_ui.py script in your text editor. If not append it and run it.

Boom! I linked it in because I remember reading that I needed to, but missed the important step of running it!
